Prize Event Parkwood Karting : Details

A thoroughly exhilarating experience for a total of 12 drivers. You will be racing in a Grand Prix race where each driver takes part in: 1 warm-up lap, 2 x 10 lap qualifying heats and a final 15 lap race. There's plenty of thrilling racing to be had with 6 karts on the track at any one time.

What do you do on the day? Firstly all drivers go through a safety briefing to ensure your time on the track is both fun and safe. Parkwood Karting provide all safety equipment such as race suits and helmets. Please ensure you take sensible footwear like trainers. After the briefing you're ready to race!

The prize is worth several hundred pounds and can be yours for only £5.00. The race is for up to 12 drivers, so invite your friends, family or co-workers. They will thank you for sharing this prize with them. Why not create a syndicate of 12 people and buy 12 entries, that way you have an excellent chance (roughly 1 in 12) of someone in your syndicate winning the prize.

So how's the race run? Each driver first completes a warm-up lap to familiarise themselves with the circuit. Following this you take your position on the grid. Adrenalin builds up as you wait for the lights to change green to start the first qualifying heat. There are 2 qualifying heats per driver. Don't be beaten here because the qualifying heats are used to determine your grid position in the final race and everybody wants to start on pole position. In the final race when the chequered flag is waved the winner declares victory. There's a podium presentation where medals are awarded to drivers finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
